RAS प्रीलिम्स में Reasoning से लगभग 30 प्रश्न आते हैं — यह सबसे high-scoring section है क्योंकि इसमें रटने की जरूरत नहीं।
Number Series
- Pattern types: +n, ×n, n², prime numbers, alternating series
- Trick: पहले दो terms का difference निकालें, फिर pattern देखें
- Practice: Daily 10 series problems minimum
Analogy (सादृश्यता)
- Word-based: relationship between words
- Number-based: mathematical relationship
- Letter-based: position in alphabet
Data Interpretation
- Bar graph, Pie chart, Line graph, Table
- Time-saver: Don't calculate exact numbers when approximation works
- RAS में typically 2-3 DI sets आते हैं (10-12 प्रश्न)
Ratio, Percentage & Average
- % change formula: (New-Old)/Old × 100
- Average trick: Assume a base number to simplify calculation
- Ratio shortcut: Cross-multiply for comparison
Logical Reasoning
- Statements & Conclusions: Only definite conclusions count
- Syllogisms: Use Venn diagrams
- Blood relations: Draw family tree
